I am currently a senior student-athlete at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign studying Graphic Design. I’m competitive, always willing to learn, and detail oriented; I take pride in my strengths as an illustrator, artist, advocate, and athlete. My goal is to foster creativity and curate inclusivity and accessibility along my design journey.
With an affinity for adaptation and the changing world around me, I’ve always strived to develop and grow in my mastery and creativity. I think the most important quality a designer, and human being in general, can have is a dynamic growth-mindset and the determination to always improve. I’ve never been one to strictly follow a predetermined path, I’ve always looked for better routes along my journey to better not only the final outcome but rather the process as a whole.
I was born in Murray, Utah to a rather large family. I’ve always stuck out as the spunky black sheep of the family whether it be due to my disability, queerness, or ever-changing appearance, and I’ve thoroughly embraced every step, well, push of the way. I’ve always found intrigue in and enjoyed the odd or obscure in life. I think these things oftentimes offer us new avenues to understanding the world and those we share with it. My identities have always offered me unique perspectives to the world and with it, an extraordinary set of skills in adaptation, problem solving, and embracing the bold.
